Single speed mania


My grandfather rode a single speed. This was right at the end of the high-wheel era. His is one of the early two wheel "safety" bicycles. This might even have been a "fixie", as the freewheel didn't come into common use for another few years. One of his rides was from his home near Washington CH to Columbus and back. About a hundred miles.
Too bad Tulio Campagnolo wasn't born a half a century earlier.
